The Benefits of Making Your Own Wine.

Wine Grapes and a Glass with Wine in it.If you are looking for an interesting hobby that is both emotionally and financially rewarding then you have found the right one. Wine making at home not only saves you money in the liquor store but it will also ensure that your friends have a happier time at your next social gathering.

If you want to make your own wine at home then there is a bit of a start up investment of a hundred dollars or more, but once you have made your first and second batches of wine, this investment will have paid for its self. The initial investment is in the equipment that you are going to need. You can just buy a kit online and the ingredients from a local source or you could even buy those online too. There is no need to even leave your house.

There is nothing quite as rewarding as making a home cooked meal that people love. Imagine how good it would be if you could make your own wine to share with all of your loved ones as well. If you have the patience, then you can do it quite easily. I say patience because the whole process can take around a year. Some times longer depending on what the instructions that your kit comes with tells you to do.

Making your own wine at home is not a hard or dirty task either. All you need to do is, smash up your ingredients, clean and fill a container with your smashed ingredients and let it sit for a month. Then you transfer that to another container and let it sit for a while longer. A year is about the right time to let wine ferment. Once that is done, you bottle and enjoy your wine. It is super easy, the only hard part is taking measurements to get the mix of sugar and alcohol right.

Financially wine making at home can take a lot of stress off of your bank balances and put it right where it belongs, at the bottom of a bottle. If you make a batch of wine that makes around thirty bottles, then you are going to have to pay roughly fifty dollars for the ingredients. That is just over one dollar per bottle of wine. Compared to ten and twenty dollar bottles at the store, you are going to be saving yourself a fortune.

Your parties will never bee the same once you have a constant flow of wine and merriment. Just picture the ancient Greek parties that you have seen on television and movies. People are laughing and having a great time and there are no worries in the world. Once you start making your own wine the rest of your hosing duties will be a breeze.

Now that you know why you should be making your own wine at home, why not go out and try it. If wine making is something that interests you then you can read more information about it at WineMaking-Equipment.com

I was snooping around on Pinterest (again! So addicting, I swear) when I saw a photo for amazing-looking chocolate chip cookie dough dip. I was pleasantly surprised when I clicked on it…

…because not only was it the tasty brainchild of Vitamin G favorite Katie (from Chocolate-Covered Katie–remember her recipe for Peanut Butter-Banana Ice Cream?), it’s just one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen.

Why? This cookie dough dip has chickpeas as its base! Take a look at the recipe. It’s amazing. (She also has a sugar-free version, if you are so inclined.) She suggests dipping into it with graham crackers or fruit, or even using it as a topping for pancakes or oatmeal. Yum!
Are you a cookie dough lover? Want to try this out? How do you get satisfy your cookie dough cravings?
